CFT Visualization Makes It Easier to Discover More
The EMIT Viewer and EMIT Viewer Pro are 3D visualization tools that enable teams to review and share Cryo-Fluorescence Tomography (CFT) data. The EMIT Viewer runs entirely in your browser, so you can view datasets slice by slice, in every plane, from any computer. EMIT Viewer Pro is the desktop application, and the base package for teams who have a Xerra™ instrument installed.
Targeting the heart is only half the challenge. Confirming where else expression occurs matters just as much.
Researchers used 3D CFT to visualize whole-body mCherry expression in AAV designs engineered for cardiac targeting. The datasets resolve expression in the heart and throughout the body, including the central nervous system, at sub-organ level resolution.

Now, getting to your data is.
Every Plane, One Volume
XY as acquired, with XZ and YZ reconstructed from the same stack. The four-panel view shows all three alongside a 3D panel, linked by crosshairs, so clicking a structure in one plane finds it in the others.
3D in MIP or MPR
MIP renders a rotating projection of the whole-body fluorescence signal. MPR places the three planes as cross-sections in 3D, with X, Y and Z sliders to pinpoint exactly where signal originates.
Channels and Lookup Tables
White light (RGB) plus every fluorescence channel, named by excitation and emission pair. Overlay any combination, assign a lookup table such as Fire, Green, or Red, and hide a channel with the eye toggle to check anatomy underneath.
Compare Exposure Times
CFT acquires each channel at several exposure times. Tile view puts them side by side, and the live pixel readout tells you which is the longest exposure that still sits below saturation.
Display Scales You Can Repeat
Threshold using sliders or type exact values. Entering the same range for every animal in a cohort keeps differences easy to recognize.
Saved Views
Save channels, exposures, lookup tables, ranges, masks, and flipped axes as a named view. It stays with the dataset, so reopening it restores your setup in a single click.
From dataset to saved view in four steps
Open the dataset
Click your subject link. The viewer opens on the XY acquisition plane.
Choose channels
Activate channels, pick exposure times and lookup tables.
Navigate in 2D and 3D
Scroll slices, switch planes, or open the MIP and MPR 3D views.
Save your view
Save the setup as a named view. Reopen the dataset and your settings come back.

WEB-BASED TOOLThe browser version, included with every CFT fee-for-service data delivery. Open a study from a link and share it with your team.
EMIT Viewer Pro
Desktop applicationThe base package for teams who have a Xerra™ instrument installed. Everything in the browser version, plus the ability to bring your own data in and take renders out.
EMIT Analyze
An all in one viewer and CFT data analysis platform for desktop. More details coming soon.
Bone repair is more than healing a fracture.
Researchers used 3D CFT to visualize calcein and alizarin red deposition in a tibial fracture model. Mineralization appears around the fracture site, in distal regions of the tibia, and at the tibia-fibula joint, at sub-organ level resolution.
Open in EMIT ViewerNothing to install. Open the link and your data is ready.
The EMIT Viewer is included with every fee-for-service CFT project conducted with EMIT Imaging. Links are provided following acquisition, so results open in the browser you already use. Sharing results with collaborators across institutions has never been easier.
